I am a special needs Rat Terrier. I am deaf so I will need a very special family/couple/person to adopt me.
I am shy until I get to know you. And I really hate people I DON'T know touching my head (we think he was beaten for not
responding to his name). I am house trained but I am still a youngster (22 months old) so I might forget when I'm playing.
I am crate trained and like to sleep in my crate at night. When I have to go out I will let you know by barking or whining.
And if you shake your finger at me to tell me NO; I'll turn my head so I can't see you. And if I can't see you I don't have
to behave! I have started to learn some sign language but it's more fun to ignore my foster mom and dad.
I really don't play at all with toys but I do love to chew on bones.
I will play with the dogs at my foster home ; smaller ones are better but I will play with a friendly big dog as long
as I can get away if the play starts getting rough. And I usually start the rough play.
I like to take walks but I'm not fond of car rides; sometimes I get sick. But if we are on our way to the dog park I'm
all for going!
When I was younger I met a few cats and wasn't impressed but now that I'm older I like to chase them.
I really don't like going to the vet but if I have to I will, like when I get heartworm tested in April; I was heartworm
negative last year. I am up to date on all my shots and even have a microchip. I would have loved to pass on my handsome light
tan/lemon colored spots but that would be irresponsible so my foster home had me neutered. I have a white, longish body with
short legs, button ears and a docked tail. My picture doesn't do me justice.
